The Smashing Pumpkins are Hard Alternative Rock.
The Guitarist Billy Corgan brings the hardness in to the music and also it is weird in ways sometimes. The Drummer is Good at being mellow and hard. The Bass is very heavy and makes the guitar sound more heavy then it is.
But some times the band is mellow.
